Weekly Update: July 21st, 2010

Summer time, and the livin’ easy.

Most people like to go outside, do something athletic, amusement parks, spending money just to get sweaty.

What do I like to do on a hot summer day? Code.
That’s why I was thrilled to find an app in the Android Marketplace called Min3D. It’s pretty much a tech demo of an OpenGL ES engine this guy is making. Best part is, he’s put up his source code on Google. So, anyone getting started in 3D content for the Android can take a look at this engine; it’s got everything from primatives to putting 3D objects in the Android’s XML layouts and loading 3D models and animations!

Nice job, Lee Felarca! Hopefully this will increase the frequency of 3D apps in the market!
